Hundreds of clients and Philadelphia’s most glamorous personalities walked the red carpet in Bryn Mawr to see what was underneath the red silk cover at Algar Ferrari.

Guests enjoyed a delicious selection of appetizers, beer, wine, espresso, desserts and great company. The chill was taken out of the cool February evening with the heat of the excited crowd. Everyone knew it was almost time for their chance to see Ferrari’s latest jewel of the current range, as champagne was hand delivered for a toast. Aleks, Algar’s young new owner introduced himself to the crowd. Francis DeRuschi, General Manager took the crowd higher describing how the newest supercar evolved from the 599 into the F12berlinetta which is the most powerful and high performance Ferrari ever built.

The cover was lifted and the crowd closed in around the vehicle, to get a closer look at the strikingly elegant design. From the imposing grille that draws air into the engine bay to cool the V12 to the innovative Aero Bridge, which for the first time uses the bonnet to create downforce the guests were in awe.

Then Francis hit the ignition and triggering the hair-raising sound of the 12-cylinder engine that delivers 740 Horsepower, 0-62mph acceleration in 3.1 seconds; and a top speed of over 211 mph.

The guests knew that Ferrari had outdone itself again with the F12berlinetta, and understood why Car & Driver calls the vehicle “another masterpiece from Maranello” and Top Gear named it Car of the Year.

Everyone had a wonderful evening, with the most asked question of the night being “How soon can I have my F12 delivered?”
